This is a poem from a card that a friend gave me. I keep it next to my computer to read from when I need a little inspiration or a pick-me-up.

THE DIET

This is the moment it all begins
a brand new slender me.
I'll take off thirty (one hundred+) pounds and be
the best that I can be.

I won't surrender. I'll never give up
until I'm down to size.
I can just see people looking at me
with envy in their eyes.

To think that I could do all that.
Throw off that heavy yoke.
I'll celebrate by ordering...
Chocolate cake - and Diet Coke.
